Digital Goa, June 29 – Seven pedestrians lost their lives in road accidents across Goa in May 2026, accounting for nearly one-third of the 22 fatalities reported during the month, according to the Directorate of Transport’s monthly accident report. Of the seven pedestrian deaths, four were reported in South Goa and three in North Goa. The report also recorded 242 road accidents during the month, including 22 fatal, 35 grievous, 37 minor and 148 non-injury accidents. Overall, 22 people were killed, 45 sustained grievous injuries and 87 suffered minor injuries. Among those who died were 11 riders, one pillion rider, seven pedestrians, one passenger, while the remaining fatalities were from other road user categories.
