Feb 12 – CM Pramod Sawant today alleged that people who are against development have the habit of obstructing and opposing good projects. He was referring to the opposition of Mayem villagers to the proposed International Law University in the village. “I do not understand how some people can oppose educational institute?,” questioned Sawant. Villagers are up in arms against the project and have asked the government to sort out the land ownership issues of the villagers first before bringing large projects in the locality. Sawant laid foundation stone for several development projects in Mayem-Vainguinim today including underground cabling, 𝐑𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐒𝐥𝐮𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐆𝐚𝐭𝐞 & 𝐒𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐨𝐟 𝐕𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐮𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐦 𝐊𝐡𝐚𝐳𝐚𝐧 𝐁𝐮𝐧𝐝 etc.
