Digital Goa, Jan 11 – Pernem Police have arrested the third member of a gang involved in an organised daytime house-breaking network operating in North Goa. So far, stolen gold ornaments worth Rs 71 lakh have been recovered from the gang, which operated across Pernem, Dhargal, Virnoda, Tuem and Korgao. Two members of the gang were arrested earlier in a one-year-old case in which they had committed a daytime burglary at a house in Tuem and decamped with gold worth Rs 4.50 lakh. Sustained interrogation of the accused led to the arrest of 28-year-old Tejesh Gurav from Rajapur, Ratnagiri, on January 7, 2026. The gang is believed to be involved in a series of burglaries, and further recovery of gold ornaments is expected.
