Digital Goa, Jan 8 – Crime Branch, Goa, has arrested a 41-year-old Philippine woman, Federico Pinapin Moreno, and her aide for allegedly obtaining an Indian passport using forged documents. The case was registered following a complaint by the Regional Passport Office, Panaji. The accused procured the passport in the assumed name Erica Achumi by furnishing false information and was staying in Goa without a valid visa. She was working as a hair stylist at a salon in Porvorim. During interrogation, she disclosed the involvement of one Vinit Bandiwdekar, who allegedly assisted her in obtaining an Aadhaar card and other documents. Both were arrested on January 7, 2026.
