Oct 15 – PI and PSI attached to Calangute police station have been transferred to North Goa district reserve line following law and order incidents in the area over the past few days. PI Paresh Naik and PSI Kiran Naik have been transferred from Calangute and Porvorim Pl Rahul Parab has been given additional charge of the Calangute police station. Reacting to the incident, Calangute MLA Michael Lobo opined that the police officers have been made scapegoats in the incidents. Panchayat will initiate probe in the matter and those attacking locals will be taken to task, he said.
