Nov 21 – Pilgao farmers continued to block Vedanta’s ore transportation through their village for the second consecutive day demanding restoration of their polluted fields. The talks with farmers and company representatives, mamlatdars failed as farmers were firm on their demand. Meanwhile, Vedanta Sesa Goa has said in a statement, “safety of our stakeholders and the community is our priority. We continue to take necessary measures to safeguard our environment and are committed to ensuring a sustainable ecosystem”.
