Jan 31- A POCSO Court has sentenced three individuals to 20 years of imprisonment and imposed a fine of Rs 7 lakh on them for sexually assaulting a 6-year-old girl child at Canacona. The sentence has been awarded to 27-year-old Manoj Kumar from Bihar, 31-year-old Jaideep Ree and 32-year-old Ravi Ree from Odisha. They were arrested in April 2018 in the matter. All 3 were working at the same construction site where the motherless girl was staying with her father who is a construction worker, and her brother. The trio allegedly sexually abused the girl for nearly 3 months. The matter came to light after the child disclosed the incidents to her then 14-year-old brother. The judgment was delivered under the provisions of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.
