Goa government is in the process of drafting a Slum Rehabilitation Policy, Chief Minister Pramod Sawant informed. A survey is currently underway to identify slums across the state. Under the proposed policy, slum dwellers will be rehabilitated through construction of houses on a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) basis. However, beneficiaries of this scheme will not be eligible to apply under the existing Mhaje Ghar scheme, the CM added.
