Ponda-Bhoma road project tender finalised; special provision to save Bhoma temple and lake claims Gadkari

Digital Goa, May 23 – The tender for the 10-km Ponda-Bhoma stretch, part of the Hyderabad-Goa corridor, has been finalised, Union Minister Nitin Gadkari announced. The project includes a 4.28-km six-lane elevated corridor, with a special 76-meter span designed to protect the historic Bhoma temple and lake, he said. A provision of Rs 30 lakh has also been made for the beautification of Bhoma lake, he said. The road is part of corridor, which connects Telangana, Karnataka, and Goa, spans a total of 68 km, of which 17 km has already been completed, he added.
