Aug 26- Ponda Additional Sessions Court had cancelled the bail granted to Amit Palekar in the Banastari accident case for allegedly violating the conditions of his bail by traveling to foreign countries other than those to which he had already taken prior court permission. Crime Branch had sought rejection of his bail stating that Palekar was granted permission to visit France, but he visited additional countries, thus breaching the bail conditions. Palekar has been accused of alleged tampering with evidence in the horrific Banastarim accident case of August 6, which claimed 3 lives and injured 3 others. The allegedly drunk car driver Paresh Sawardekar was also arrested and later released on bail.
