Digital Goa, March 19 – Porvorim Police have arrested five accused including local woman in the Rs 24 lakh dacoity at knife point at Pilerna on Monday morning. Two of the accused are facing murder trial. Rs 15 lakh worth gold ornaments and Rs 15 lakh cash was stolen from the rented room of Pappu Biswas was stolen by the gang at knife point. Police on the technical evedences and CCTV footage identified the accused. Main accused 32 year old Joece D’Souza is the neighbour of the complainant and arranged others to commit the crime. 37 yrs old Kalpana Barki staying at Bastora is accused of murdering her husband in Curbhorem in 2018. Other three accused arrested are Imran Shaikh, Subhash Kumar and Dhiraj Gupta. Another main accused Krishna Belgaokar, who is a murder accused on bail, is absconding.
