Power department increased revenue by 20 % through recovery: Sudin

    Digital Goa, Oct 11 – Power Dept has increased its revenue to the tune of 20 % through recovery, without increasing the tariff, claimed Power Minister Sudin Dhavlikar. He added that by March 2024 extra revenue of Rs 400 crore is likely to be added to the state treasury. “We have not raised the revenue. Whatever raise that comes from top (center), 5 to 15 paise , we will have to do,” he said. Sudin informed that works to the tune of Rs 2,640 crore, including those that started last year will be taken up this year post monsoons by his department. He was speaking to media persons today.

    When queried over the Tamnar power line project, he said, “ The Tamnar Project is on. I can’t tell you when it will be completed. But as and when that happens, Goa and other states will benefit from it.”
