Oct 25- Mahadayi PRAWAH committee held its third meeting in Goa today. Goa sought yet another site inspection during the meeting. The proposal was opposed by Karnataka. As both the states gave conflicting opinions, PRAWAH Authority decided to seek legal opinion in the matter. “The PRAWAH Chairman will write to the Central Water Commission seeking legal opinion. The same is likely to be obtained within a months time,” informed WRD Minister Subhash Shirodkar. PRAWAH will take a decision after that, he added. One whose side is wrong is scared of inspection, Shirodkar opined. The PRAWAH committee has been formed to oversee the compliance of the final award of the Mahadayi Water Dispute Tribunal by the 3 riparian states Goa, Karnataka and Maharashtra.
