Preprimary institutions implementing NEP to be allotted teachers within 10 days: CM

    Digital Goa, July 25 – Nearly 240 institutions offering preprimary education under National Education Policy (NEP) have registered with the state Education Department so far. In addition to this 130 govt schools have also started implementing NEP at preprimary level, the house was told in by Education Minister CM Pramod Sawant today. He asked other schools offering preprimary education to register with the department at the earliest. The schools in Goa have started implementing NEP from July 3 at Foundation Level 1. All these schools will be allotted teachers equipped with knowhow about NEP implementation within 10 days time, assured Sawant. 150 master trainers and all Anganwadi teachers have been given training on NEP, he added.
    ▪️ Try to shift Anganwadis from rented private premises to govt buildings: CM tells MLAs
    CM urged MLAs to take initiative to see to it that Anganwadis are shifted from rented private premises to govt buildings in their respective constituencies. This he said would help provide appropriate infrastructure to these Anganwadis. He asked them to identify underutilised or vacant govt schools or other govt premises to shift such Anganwadis.
