Digital Goa, Nov 20 – North Goa Police informed that they have stepped up preventive measures across the district, physically verifying 66,479 tenants and 33,123 servants/labourers so far this year, as per the stats released by Goa police. In addition, more than 1,250 Aadhaar-based online verifications were completed through the Goa Police App. Police teams have been conducting 30-plus night nakabandis daily, during which over 90,000 vehicles and 2 lakh persons have been checked this year. Targeted inspections were also carried out at 105 scrapyards and 221 kabadiwalasas part of ongoing preventive drives. A total of 3,596 preventive arrests have been made under various policing measures, the police release further adds. The police have urged residents to use the Goa Police App for tenant and labour verification and to report suspicious activity by dialling 112. Meanwhile, Goa Police are under public scrutiny following a series of unsolved dacoities and crimes reported across the state.
