Digital Goa, Feb 4 – Goa Govt’s proposed Heritage Policy will have schemes and provisions offering financial help, liberty and freedom to owners who have heritage structures within their private properties to ensure that they co-operate in getting the structures notified, informed Minister Subhash Phal Dessai. Once a heritage structure in notified, several restrictions are imposed, hence private owners refrain from identifying the structure as heritage structures, he pointed out. Heritage Policy will cover all monuments which are notified, which are to be notified, which qualify to be notified and also Private monuments, he added. Govt is contemplating ticketing visitors to heritage structure after revamping and making them worth paying, he said further.
