Digital Goa, Mar 20 – Large number of people from across the state converged at the Church Square in Panaji demanding sacking of Vishwajeet Rane as the TCP and Forest Minister over alleged indiscriminate land conversions in the state. Protestors alleged that between 2023 to 2025 nearly 25 lakh sq mtr of land was converted to settlement zone using provisions under section 17(2) of the TCP Act. The agitators marched onto CM Sawant’s official residence at Altinho to give him a representation signed by all the protestors. However, they wer stopped on the way by a large police force.
