Protesting doctors insist on unconditional public apology from Vishwajit Rane

Digital Goa, June 9 – Not satisfied with the apology tendered by Health Minister Vishwajit Rane for his outburst against a GMC doctor, protesting doctors have demanded a public and unconditional apology from the minister. Resident doctors met the Dean of Goa Medical College, Dr Shivanand Bandekar, following a massive demonstration and submitted a charter of demands, which includes a public and unconditional apology from the minister for his conduct. They also demanded the filing of an FIR against the cameraman who recorded the entire incident, citing violation of Supreme Court guidelines. Earlier today, Rane apologised for the harsh words he used against Dr. Rudresh Kuttikar in a post on X. He had also issued an apology on a local TV channel last night. However, protesting doctors continued their agitation at GMC, insisting on an unconditional public apology from the minister.
