Digital Goa, Jan 18 – Environment Public Hearing for Sirigao Mineral Block completed today. Locals asserted that settlement areas in the village, temples, water bodies, schools etc which are now included in the mining block should be removed from it. Several villagers said they wanted mining activities to start, provided that they are carried out systematically and legally by following requisite procedures and processes. Barring small altercations over time allotted to speak, the public hearing went on peacefully.
