Rain continue to lash Goa for 3rd day; normal life paralyzed

    Digital Goa, June 29 – Rain continue to pound Goa for 3rd consecutive day. Normal life was thrown out of gear due to incessant rain in most parts of Goa. There are reports of uprooting of trees & flooding of roads from different parts. A huge tree collapsed near Mahalaxmi temple in Panaji. The retaining wall of St Brito school collapsed once again. Fortunately, there were no casualty. Last year, one woman crossing this road in car was injured due to collapse of retaining wall. Heavy rainfall occurred at a few places and moderate rainfall occurred at most places over the state of Goa. Pernem- 8 cm; Ponda, Sanguem & Margao-7 cm each. Panaji-6 cm; Canacona, Ela(Old Goa) & Mormugao-5 cm each; Mapusa-4 cm; Sanquelim-3 cm & Dabolim 2 cm.
