Rane promises discipline at GMC, showcases Goa’s health achievements

Digital Goa, July 31 – Health Minister Vishwajit Rane told the Goa Assembly that strict action will be taken against GMC doctors involved in unauthorized private practice. He announced the upgrade of CHC Pernem to a Rural Hospital and Training Centre, along with proposals to improve health infrastructure in Tuem, Curchorem, and Canacona. Rane highlighted Goa’s progress in organ donation, free IVF services, and breast cancer screening. Over 22,900 citizens benefitted from DDSSY and Mediclaim, while 201 Ayushman Arogya Mandirs and full Ayushman Bharat coverage for 41,000 families mark Goa’s digital and inclusive healthcare drive, he said.
