Digital Goa, Apr 8- Forest Minister Vishwajit Rane has said he was not informed by department officials about the closure of Bondla Zoo following the death of five animals due to a suspected viral infection. “I have sought an explanation and will take action against the officer concerned,” he said, adding that a review meeting will be held today to discuss the matter.
The zoo has been shut since April 1 after three civet cats and two jungle cats died. Samples have been sent to a Bhopal lab for analysis. No fresh deaths have been reported, officials said.
