Redkar quits BJP after police questioning in Arpora night club fire incident

Digital Goa, Dec 7 – Arpora sarpanch Roshan Redkar has announced his resignation from the BJP after he was questioned by the Calangute police in the night club fire case. He said he will ensure that the BJP never comes to power in the Calangute constituency in the future. He accused MLA Michael Lobo of trying to remove him as sarpanch. Speaking to the media, one of his supporters alleged that Redkar is being removed from the post for shutting down four clubs within the panchayat jurisdiction. She claimed that some people are upset because their kickbacks have stopped due to these closures.
