Digital Goa, Dec 25 – CM Pramod Sawant today reiterated the need to bring in reforms and amendments in Communidade code for the benefit of Goans and govt projects. “New reforms have to be brought in. Goans have to benefit from this. Various govt projects need to benefit from this. For this amendments and changes have to be suggested,” said Sawant. He also stressed on the need for support from Communidades to bring in necessary reforms.
🔸 Change in code would imply blanket permission to illegal constructions: Guirim Communidade
Guirim comunidade president, Tulio de Souza on the contrary asserted that amending the code would encourage illegalities as several illegal houses in communidade lands belong to people from other States. He said that amendments would imply blanket permissions for illegal constructions. Communidade lands need to better administered, he added. Decisions about houses in communidade land belonging Goans can be taken by examination and discussion with the communidade, he opined.
