Digital Goa, Sept 1 – The Goa Assembly today passed the Registration (Goa Amendment) Bill, 2026 amid strong protests from Opposition members. The Bill provides for online registration of documents, digital photographs and fingerprints, and a mechanism for cancellation of fraudulently registered documents and restoration of property to the original owner. The Assembly today passed several other Bills, including the Goa Medicare Service Personnel and Medicare Service Institutions (Prevention of Violence and Damage or Loss to Property) (Amendment) Bill, 2026, Goa Children’s (Amendment) Bill, 2026, Goa Prisons and Correctional Services Bill, 2026, Goa GST Amendment Bill, 2026, and the Goa Advocates Protection Bill, 2026.
