Report unsafe, dilapidated buildings: South Goa administration advisory

Digital Goa, Oct 13 – South Goa district administration has urged the public to report unsafe or dilapidated buildings still being used for residential or commercial purposes, warning that such structures pose a serious risk to life and property. Emphasising that ensuring the safety of premises lies primarily with the owners and occupants, citizens have been asked to inform the local municipality about any structurally weak buildings, or the BDO if the premises are outside municipal limits. Residents have also been advised not to live in or operate from such unsafe structures. In case of emergencies, the public can contact the ERSS helpline (112) or the South Goa Collectorate Control Room (0832-2794100), states a release.
