Digital Goa, June 13 – Research Centre focusing on Educational Pedagogy for Skill based Education will be established in Goa, informed CM Pramod Sawant. He said the center will engage research scholars through Research Grants. He was speaking after Chairing the 4th Empowered Committee(EC) Meeting of Empowered Committee of CARES – Coding & Robotics in Education in Schools Scheme in the presence of members of the committee. Training and proctored testing labs for coding and robotics will be set up in each Taluka of the state. The labs will be like satellite CARES Makerspaces to encourage innovation through hands-on experimentation, Sawant added. EC also granted approval for Project Management Unit (PMU) to enter into MoU with Research Institutes and Industry, BITS Pilani, MSME Tech Dev. Center, Avishkar, Chromatic Infosystems Pvt. Ltd., for the cooperation and development of the sector.
Goa govt also launched the Alert, Informed & Active Citizens (ACTIZENS) Club Program in Government Aided Schools in association with Desh Apnayen Sahyog Foundation today.
