Digital Goa, Mar 18 – State Revenue Dept has notified hike in fee for conversion of use of land from one purpose to another. A hike of Rs 20 per sq mtr has been specified across all categories including residential, commercial, industrial, recreational zone, traffic and transport zone, public (institutional and govt etc). However, as opposed to earlier 3 classifications- not exceeding 500 sq mtr, from 500 sq mtr to 2000 sq mtr and above 2000 sq mtr, only two categories have been specified i.e. area not exceeding 500 sq mtr and exceeding 500 sq mtr. For area above 500 sq mtr the charges are double as that charged for land below 500 sq mtr. The table in the Goa Land Revenue Code has been amended to this effect.
