Digital Goa, Nov 7 – In an interesting case of reverse land conversion, the TCP Department has approved a proposal to change the zoning of 4,14,736 sq. m of land at Nagorcem, Palolem in Canacona — converting it from settlement, orchard and other categories into a No Development Zone (NDZ). The approval, issued under government directions as per Section 39A of the Goa TCP Act, covers multiple survey numbers and land types. 7,616 sq. m has been changed from Settlement to Natural Cover, 3,291 sq. m from Orchard with NDS to Natural Cover with NDS, 22,956 sq. m from Orchard with NDS to Natural Cover with NDS, 4,430 sq. m from MIZ to Natural Cover, 1,817 sq. m from Crematorium with NDS to Natural Cover with NDS, and 27,564 sq. m from Orchard to Natural Cover, 239 sq. m from Cultivable Land to Natural Cover with Irrigation Command Area, 2,655 sq. m from Crematorium with No Development Slope to Natural Cover with No Development Slope, 32,390 sq. m from MIZ to NDS, 95,852 sq. m from Orchard with No Development Slope to NDS, and 1,24,331 sq. m from Orchard to Natural Cover.
