Digital Goa, April 28 – RGP MLA Viresh Borkar has launched an indefinite sit-in protest against the illegal constructions on hill slopes and on the beach at Bambolim. Borkar who is protesting outside TCP Dept Sub office along with RGP leader Manoj Parab has demanded immediate revocation of approvals granted to a resort in Bambolim alleging multiple violations and environmental damage. He has also opposed the construction of a wall at Bambolim beach by another resort. The St Andre MLA has vowed not to leave the protest site until due action is initiated against both the projects. Alleging that repeated complaints have fallen on deaf ears, Viresh said he has resorted to the indefinite protest as a last resort. A candlelight protest was also held at Bambolim yesterday against the environmental destructions at Bambolim by RGP, and AAP accompanied by several environmental activists.
