Road digging and cutting prohibited for 2 months from June 1

Digital Goa, May 25 – District Magistrate, North Goa has imposed ban on digging and cutting of all types of roads, including National Highways, State Highways, Major District roads, Road-Shoulders, lanes, thoroughfares etc. during the monsoons from June 1, 2023. The order issued under Section 144 of CrPc will remain in force for 60 days from June 1. The order mandates prior permission for road digging and cutting of any kind and covering of the digging within 6 hours. However the prohibition is not applicable for road digging done by govt public utility service providing departments.
