July 30 – Romi Konkani issue is brought up time and again for political gains, claimed CM Sawant. “Don’t divide Goa on the basis of religion,” he said. Nearly 33 panchayats across Goa have passed resolutions demanding equal status for Romi Konkani along with Nagri Konkani.
He went on to add that Konkani has been made part of Staff Selection Commission exams.
