Digital Goa, May 29 – A guest at a casino in Panaji assaulted multiple security personnel with a wooden rod, resulting in the death of one guard and injury to another early this morning. The deceased has been identified as Dheeru Sharma (33) from Madhya Pradesh, while the injured guard is Satyam (27) from Shiroda, Goa. Panaji Police traced and arrested the accused, Abdul Altaf (25), a resident of Hyderabad, while he was trying to flee the state and was on way to Dabolim Airport. The incident occurred at Casino Carnival, Campal, and according to police, the wooden rod used in the assault was taken from the staircase and had an iron clamp at its base. Police informed that Abdul was a rowdy sheeter of Mailardevpally Police Station, Hyderabad.
