Feb 18- Colva Police arrested Kasim Fayaz from Udupi, Karnataka, for allegedly stealing gold jewellery worth Rs 10 lakh from Club Mahindra, Varca on October 21, 2024. Electronic surveillance led to his arrest at Cavelossim, and stolen jewelry was recovered. During interrogation, he revealed that he had given the stolen gold to his friend SM Pradeep in Karnataka as security for a loan. Police, with Karnataka authorities, retrieved the jewellery from a financial institution.During interrogation Kasim disclosed his involvement in similar thefts at the hotel on several occasions, informed police.
