Jan 21- Center has sanctioned Rs 200 crore for Goa under the ‘Scheme for Special Assistance to States for Capital Investment 2024-25’. “This support will play a pivotal role in stimulating urban development in Goa. We are committed to ensure the efficient and timely utilization of these funds as per the scheme’s guidelines,” informed Urban Development Minister Vishwajeet Rane. Incidentally, Center had approved Rs 386 crore and released Rs 224.77 crore for Goa in the year 2023-24. The year before that i..e in 2022-23, Rs 572.75 crore was approved and also released. In 2021-22 Rs 111.04 were approved and also released under this Special Assistance Scheme.
