Jan 16 – Banks have disbursed financial assistance in the form of loans to the tune of Rs 312 Crore to 3,250 odd Self Help Groups(SHGs), informed CM Pramod Sawant. CM chaired a meeting of Goa State Rural Livelihood Mission-GSRLM today. 480 Brands have been developed and operated by SHGs in Goa under GSRLM. Revolving fund of Rs.8.28 Crore are allotted to SHGs with 60:40 contribution by Center and State. 141 SHGs have been employed under the Mukhya Mantri Annapurna Yojana for operating 9 canteens. Start-up village enterprise program is extended to 2039 beneficiaries from 5 talukas. One station one product at 2 railway stations generates sale up to Rs 2.5l lakhs per day during tourist season. 17,331 Women SHG members have been identified as beneficiaries for Lakhpadi Didi scheme, CM added. State is mulling digitizing of records of SHG with e-Bookkeepers, accident death insurance for SHG members, implementing of Namo Drone Didi & others under Umbrella scheme of Lakhpati Didi.
