Sept 26 – Goa govt has withdrawn the notification specifying Rs one lakh per day as scrutiny/permission charges for beach weddings. The charges will be, “Rs. 1,00,000/- per event for maximum period of 05 days and Rs. 10,000/- for every additional day thereafter for that event. (75% concession for Government Corporation/ Autonomous bodies/ /Charitable Trust/School/ /Institution and Sports Events,” states the new notification. Environment Minister had said that the earlier notification was a typographical error.
