Digital Goa, August 15 – Verna Police have registered an FIR against 38-year-old Derrick Vales, acting sarpanch of Sancoale, for allegedly deceiving his second wife into believing that his first marriage was dissolved before marrying her. The FIR was lodged following directions from a Vasco court after the complainant approached the court alleging that Vales, who married his first wife in 2012, married her in July 2021 under the Indian Christian Marriage Act before the marriage registrar at Mantralaya, Mumbai, without divorcing his first wife. She also alleged that he had sexual relations with her under this pretext. The case is under investigation.
