Digital Goa, August, 12 – A Sarzora resident was allegedly cheated of around ₹1.06 lakh by cyber fraudsters who promised her a job with ONGC.According to the complaint filed by the victim woman, she came across a newspaper advertisement inviting applications for various job vacancies and submitted her email ID and WhatsApp number on the website provided.She subsequently received a call from an unknown person claiming to be an ONGC representative, who allegedly promised her a job and induced her to make payments. Believing the offer to be genuine, Fernandes transferred around ₹1,06,690 through multiple online transactions to accounts provided by the accused.
