Digital Goa, 7 July – Supreme Court(SC) has issued notice and stayed a High Court order in a plea filed by a woman candidate contesting for the post of weightlifting coach with the Sports Authority of Goa(SAG), who alleged bias in the selection process. The SC heard the plea, where the petitioner claimed her former coach—against whom she had filed a harassment complaint—acted as an examiner in one of the tests. Goa govt acknowledging the alleged bias, had ordered the reconduct of the selection tests. However, the Bombay High Court directed the selection process to continue as per the original schedule, without setting aside the government’s order. The apex Court, while issuing notice, stayed the High Court’s directive, providing interim relief to the petitioner.
