Schools directed to track students’ academic progress post Std X and XII

Digital Goa, April 22- The Directorate of Education has directed all govt and aided secondary and higher secondary schools in Goa to maintain records of students’ academic pursuits after they complete Std X and Std XII. Schools have been instructed to keep this data readily available for review by inspection teams during official visits. The move aims to ensure better monitoring of students’ educational trajectories and support future planning.
School students to visit ITIs as part of NEP skill education push
Education Dept has also directed all schools to arrange visits for Std IX and X students to nearby Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) to promote skill education as part of implementation of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. The move aims to provide students with early exposure to vocational and technical skills, helping them become career-ready. Schools have also been asked to collaborate with polytechnics and local industries for hands-on learning opportunities.
