Digital Goa, Sept 3 – Taking advantage of the Ganesh festival, a habitual thief from Kudal, Maharashtra, targeted a flat in Merces and robbed valuables worth ₹10 lakh. The accused broke into the first-floor flat of Pooja Mangaonkar through a window on August 28, between 4:00 PM and 2:15 AM, and decamped with gold and silver ornaments. After examining CCTV footage, police identified and arrested Anand alias Aksha Mhadekar, a native of Kudal currently residing in Merces. During investigation, it was revealed that the accused is also involved in four other house break-in cases in Kudal.
