Digital Goa, Sept 23 – A major fire broke out near the Fish Market in Sankhali at around 1.30 am on Sept 23, gutting a grocery and a cloth shop in the area. Fire tenders from Bicholim and Valpoi fire stations were rushed to the spot to bring the blaze under control. The damage caused by the fire is estimated to run into several lakhs of rupees. No casualties were reported.
