Digital Goa, Sep 2 – Responding to the criticism from opposition, CM Pramod Sawant claimed Goa has the lowest electricity tariffs among states in the country and challenged the Opposition to prove otherwise. “If the Opposition can show that any state has lower power tariffs than Goa, I am ready to adopt those rates for Goa,” Sawant said.CM also advised consumers to opt for solar power to substantially reduce their electricity bills, while stating that smart meters are required for billing in the case of solar power installations.
