Digital Goa, August 17 – CM Pramod Sawant announced that the Single Window Clearance Facilitation Center for obtaining all permissions related to film shooting in Goa will be operational from September 1, 2025. He said the system will ensure smooth clearances without hurdles at the Panchayat or Municipality level. The announcement was made at the concluding function of the four-day Goa State Film Festival, which began on August 14. Vice Chairman of ESG, Delilah Lobo, informed that the Film Facilitation Portal launched today will also commence operations from September 1. Veteran actress Varsha Urgaonkar was conferred with the Lifetime Achievement Award at the event.
Sawant assures revival of film finance scheme with revised assistance
Digital Goa, August 17 – Sawant assured Goan filmmakers that the film finance scheme, which had been discontinued due to technical issues, will soon be revised and recommenced. He informed that financial assistance of ₹50 lakh, ₹30 lakh and ₹10 lakh has been proposed for films in categories A, B and C respectively.
