Digital Goa, Jan 16 – The Election Commission of India has extended the timeline for filing claims and objections under the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls in Goa, Puducherry, Lakshadweep, Rajasthan and West Bengal to January 19, 2026. The extension, announced on Thursday, comes after a request from the CEO’s of the states and UTs. The revised timeline will give Goans additional time to verify their details, seek corrections, or apply for inclusion in the electoral rolls as part of the special revision exercise.
