SIR claims & objections in first 3 days: 2,787 inclusion claims filed by political parties; 4,234 name addition applications filed

Digital Goa, Dec 18 – The Chief Electoral Officer (CEO), Goa, on Thursday released the Daily Bulletin for the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of the Electoral Roll, with the claims and objections period scheduled from December 16, 2025 to January 15, 2026. According to the bulletin, a total of 2,787 claims for inclusion were submitted by Booth Level Agents (BLAs) of political parties in relation to the draft electoral roll comprising 10,84,992 electors. The BJP filed the highest number of claims at 1,546, followed by the Congress with 1,029 claims. Revolutionary Goans submitted 170 claims, while the Goa Forward Party filed 42. The CEO’s office also received 4,234 Form 6 applications for the addition of names, including those filed prior to October 27, 2025, and 1,003 Form 7 applications seeking deletion of names. Claims and objections submitted directly by electors included 1,130 applications for inclusion under Forms 6/6A and 173 applications for exclusion under Form 7. No affidavits were received from non-electors under Section 2(g) of the Representation of the People Act, 1950, the bulletin stated.
