Panaji, April 10 – The Skill-on-Wheels’ initiative was launched at the Goa Occupational Safety & Health Expo & Summit 2025 by CM Pramod Sawant. The mobile training unit will provide hands-on industrial safety training in rural areas. The initiative will also introduce safety awareness in schools and colleges, focusing on industrial fire and electrical safety, disaster management, and mental well-being. Rs 2 crore will be spent on the initiative by the govt. Incidentally, Occupational Safety & Health Expo & Summit is first of its kind Summit, organized by the Inspectorate of Factories & Boilers and is expected to be a dynamic platform for sharing vital knowledge and best practices in the field of occupational safety and health and showcases latest advancements in factory safety technologies and solutions.
