Digital Goa, August 12 – A sluice gate near Four Pillars in Mala, Panaji was breached at around 1 pm today, heightening the risk of flooding in surrounding low lying areas and nearby agricultural fields. St Cruz MLA Rudolf Fernandes who had raised the issue in the assembly, visited the site and demanded strict action against the authorities responsible for not repairing the sluice gate on time despite several reminders.
