Digital Goa, Oct 12 – Work of laying sewerage pipeline will be taken up under Smart City project on the busy 18th June road in another two days, informed Smart City CEO & MD Sanjit Rodrigues. He said the methodology used in Panaji for this work is trenchless Horizontal Direct Drilling(HDD) which does not require trenches to be dug on the roads for laying the pipeline. The 18th June road will be closed section by section right from Pharmacy College, he added. Earlier, before monsoons too, the 18th June road was closed in sections for several months due to ongoing Smart City works causing significant setback to businesses on the popular commercial street of the capital city.
